true destiny

she is cute
he is handsome
(however, impure)
she is rich
he writes stories
some are true
some are not.
they met on a
bus in the rain
she
wants to get home
to her king in
New
York
(who looks a bit
like Salvador Dali)
but stuff happens
so they
room together
eat together
live together
hitchhike
(then the hitchhiker
drives off
with their stuff:
the cute rich girl
and the mean
handsome guy)
he runs down the
car
catches the thief
then ties his ass
to a tree.
he goes back
to get the rich girl
who eluded
her king
(for the dicky
guy of course)
now they lie in
another
room
in
separate beds
(it’s 1934)
she breaks down
and cries
she doesn’t want
the king,
the word slanging
peasant tells her
no.
and she cries
and cries;
her bangs short
her eye-lashes
long
resting low on her
cheek;
he leaves her
with her dreams;
she goes home
to marry the
king
while the
handsome dick
tells the entire
world
that he loves
the “spoiled.”
rich girl

(prints that shit in
the newspaper!)

she cries some more
then kisses the king.
