such beauty

I’ve never seen such beauty: her eyes large and forlorn, her lips plump like a bouquet of bloody roses, her skin pale like the morning air. she spits god from her eyes, kneels in her disease, smiles at the mother of kings. I’ve really never seen such beauty, and while the tyrants dance, she, the kneeler, waits to die, washing her face with the skin of a lamb.
